Background Information for Teachers
This teacher resource is designed for teachers in year 5. The objective is that students will learn how to create network to transmit data using app to raise awareness of environmental issues. Students will see that is vital to consider the perspectives of their group members, to ensure the desire outcome. Students will successfully achieve this design process, through a guided portfolio. This resource integrates aspects of the general capabilities including, Information and Technologies Communication, Critical and Creative thinking and Literacy (ACARA, 2015). New Knowledge to be assessed: Technologies
Digital Technologies Knowledge and Understanding
Examine the main components of common digital systems and how they may connect together to form networks to transmit data (ACTDIK014) (ACARA, 2015)
Digital Technologies Processes and Production Skills
Design a user interface for a digital system (ACTDIP018)
